Thoughts on Death

Today’s topic for #AKwritingChallenge is about death.

As part of today’s challenge, we’re supposed to talk about our experience with death.

Luckily, I’ve never had a brush with death.

Death is a hard topic for people. I understand it’s difficult to discuss or even think about it. There’s this fear of the unknown that strikes us. I know I had a fear about death.

You don’t want to think about it, but any moment could be our last here on earth. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we’re doing, when our time comes we’re moving on to the other side.

I used to have a huge fear about death, but now my anxiety about it has decreased over the years.

One thing that’s helped with my fear is reading books about angels and people’s experiences in heaven. Reading about this stuff has given me a positive outlook on heaven. Knowing that when my time comes, I’ll be reunited with my loved ones and animals on the other side, gives me a peaceful feeling.

Now, I’m not saying I’m ready to go Home. There’s still a lot I want to accomplish during my time here. But when it’s my time to go, I can rest assured that I’ll be in good hands when I cross over to the other side.

Until that day comes, I’m going to enjoy every moment I have here on earth.
