When everyone thinks of thunder, they think of storms.
It’s funny that this is today’s topic for #WingWritingChallenge because last night we had a storm.
It started last night around 6 o’clock, thunder could be heard in the distance. It wasn’t that bad and after a while, it looked like we weren’t going to get anything.
Then a little after eight, it started thundering again. That was followed by heavy rain and lightning. It lasted on and off until 11.
I’m the type of person who loves rain; however I could do without the storms.
I live in Virginia and we can get severe weather. Whenever I hear thunder, I worry a little bit. You never know if the storm is going to be big or small.
We’ve had a couple of strong storms in our areas where the power has gone out and trees have fallen. There’s even been a few tornadoes that touch down in nearby counties.
I try not to let storms bother me, but I can’t help worrying. The weather can be unpredictable. One day it can be calm, the next it’s severe.
They’re predicting more rain and possibly a few storms this week for us.
I don’t know if we’ll get anything, but if I hear any thunder I know it’s coming.
